Kiev, - A girl was stoned to death for violating "Islamic law" after he joined a beauty contest in Ukraine.
The girl, Katya Koren (19), was found dead in a village in the Crimea region, near his home. His friends, as reported by The Daily Mail on Monday (5/30/2011), said she liked to wear fashionable clothes and had come to the seventh pageant. His body is battered and found buried in the woods a week after she disappeared.
Police has opened an investigation into the murder of his case and are investigating claims that three young Muslims to kill him stating his death in accordance with Islamic law. One of three young men named Bihal Gaziev and 16-year-old has been arrested. He told police that she had violated the "sharia law". Gaziev said he did not regret the death of the girl because she had violated Islamic law.
